Seventh Annual CARD Conference

Co-Sponsored by Orange-Ulster BOCES, National/State Teachers of the Year, and Mid-Hudson Schools Study Council
Under the direction of Dana McDonough, New York State Teacher of the Year 2016; Peggy Stewart, New Jersey Teacher of the Year 2005; and Debra Calvino, New York State Teacher of the Year 2010, participants will explore how they can strengthen their schools through teacher leadership. This 6-hour conference/workshop combines research, tools, and interactive practices to build your capacity to lead through four components:
- What is Teacher Leadership?
- Applying Adult Learning Theory
- Facilitating Effective Teams
- Designing and Implementing Change
Who should attend?
Teacher-Leaders and School Administrators
We encourage teams of 6 teachers + 1 Administrator, but individual teachers may attend.
